The area will receive anesthetic to make the procedure comfortable. We then work to remove the decay from the tooth and prepare the small hole for the filling using a bonding agent. The composite resin is then placed into the hole and smoothed out into place. Once the filling has been smoothed, it’s cured with a bright light so that it hardens into place. Your new filling can last for many years before it may need to be replaced with a new restoration.
