Dental Bonding

We will perform an exam to determine if bonding is right for you.

What is Dental Bonding?

Bonding is a type of cosmetic procedure that helps to enhance and perfect the look of your smile. It can be done to fill in gaps and spaces between teeth while taking care of chips, cracks and discoloration. Bonding can last for about 10 years before it’ll need to be replaced. Bonding uses composite resin material to carefully and safely perfect your smile.

Why would Dental Bonding be needed?

Dental bonding is a long-lasting and durable cosmetic option to perfect your smile. It utilizes little to no anesthesia to have done. Some of the flaws that bonding can help with include:

  • Discoloration
  • Stains
  • Chipped teeth
  • Cracks
  • Spaces and gaps
  • Uneven teeth

Dr. Mammen and her staff are very kind and do everything possible to make you as comfortable as they can. After having encountered a couple of dentists with questionable ethics, I was relieved to find a provider that seems to have my dental health as the primary concern.

Who’s a good candidate for Dental Bonding?

The majority of our patients who need to have dental bonding done can safely come in for the procedure. This is simply because the procedure requires little to no anesthetic and is safe for patients of all ages. Bonding can last for about a decade, so it’s a great choice for patients who want a quick and easy way to transform their smile. We will perform an exam to determine if bonding is right for you.

What happens during the treatment for Dental Bonding?

You will first come in for a consultation so that we can determine if bonding is the right option for your smile. We then work to prepare the teeth for bonding by applying a special gel. The composite material is then placed over the tooth and smoothed into place. The material is matched with your existing teeth so that the bonding isn’t noticeable. The material is then cured and hardened into place so that you have a long-lasting cosmetic option. The procedure takes just about a half hour to an hour in our office and you will leave feeling confident in the way that your smile looks thanks to the work being done.
